Honest answers about how NeonContext works, what it does with your voice and camera, and what it costs. See the privacy policy for the full detail.
NeonContext is an AI deep-work coach. You tell Neon what you plan to get done, then work while it checks in by voice, helps you refocus, and reviews the session with you at the end.
Yes. Neon is voice-first: it listens and talks back. Saying your goals out loud makes them harder to quietly drop than typing them does. You can mute your microphone at any time during a session.
Neon notices and checks in. If you go quiet or drift, it asks where you are at and helps you get back to the task.
A review of which tasks you finished and how long you worked. Over time your history builds a picture of how you work.
A little. Neon saves a few short notes about patterns, wins and blockers (up to 25 per person) so it can pick up where you left off. Those notes are deleted when you delete your account.
Yes. The camera is optional. It adds accountability by noticing when you have left your desk or picked up your phone, but the core experience is just voice.
No. Camera frames are analysed in your browser by models running on your own device. The video is never uploaded or saved. The only thing that leaves your device is a short text message such as "the user left the camera view", so Neon can check in on you.
No. Neon uses your microphone and, only if you allow it, your camera. It does not capture your screen.
NeonContext does not record or save your audio. Your voice is streamed live to Google's Gemini API, which generates Neon's replies. We use Google's paid API tier, under which Google does not use your prompts or audio to train its models. Google handles the audio under its Gemini API terms.
Your account details (email and name), your sessions and tasks, and the short notes Neon keeps to remember you. Live captions and the conversation are only used during the session and are not saved to your account.
